Regardless of if it's future UFC stars or promising prospects ready to step into the spotlight, Fight Club Rush will continue to set up exciting, event match ups. Featherweights Raymond Johansson (0-1) and Dimitris Dimitriadis (0-0) are ready to duke it out in a low key banger of a fight at FCR 16, Västerås Arena, June third.
Johansson was somewhat of a cult favourite fighter who never backs down for a challenge and who faces top-notch competition such as Tobias Harila och Tobias Söderberg as an amateur.
After an absence from the MMA scene Johansson made his pro debut at FCR 13, accompanied by a TV team that documented his journey for Swedish National Television. Continuing to embrace nothing but the toughest challenges, Johansson faced Allstars prospect Djaba Murtazaliev - a bout very few were signing up for. Johansson ended up losing via submission, and is now eagerly awaits his first win.
Dimitriadis is a solid striker who built up a reputation on the amateur scene as a tough outing for anyone. He defeated Seid Emin Makaev via a dominant decision at FCR 7, later losing via submission to rising star Martin Corney.
At FCR 10 Dimitriadis faced three-time Swedish boxing champ Anton Hellström in a hectic fight that featured several fouls. Dimitriadis eventually won via disqualification after repeated low blows.
Dimitriadis now prepares for his pro debut against an opponent that is as game as they come in Johansson. Whatever these two strikers may lack in name value, they will undoubtedly make up for with excitement!
