Unfortunately the injury bug has struck once again ahead of Fight Club Rush 14, which goes down this weekend in Västerås. Fan favourite Zoran Milic has been forced out of his planned bout with Rohulla Yousofi due to a serious knee injury. According to reports Milic will be rushed to the hospital for surgery.
In true FCR fashion, there are plenty of fighters willing to step in. FCR alumn Anton Larsson has returned from retirement to take on Yousofi.
Larsson truly is the embodiment of "fearless" as he has no issues throwing himself into the fire against red-hot prospects - often on short notice. In fact, he had his first FCR fight on short notice against none other than the above mentioned Milic. Larsson got off to a great start, pressing Milic on the feet, but succumbed to a second round knockout.
Over the years Larsson has fought some of the best prospects in Scandinavia such as Kevin Osorio, Bartosz Wojcikiewicz and most recently FCR alumn Hannan Housmand.
Larssons striking style matches up well with Yousofi - a two-time afghan boxing champion with a silver medal in the Swedish boxing championships. Yousofi is now coming off of a first round TKO win.
There has been yet another opponent change as well. Budding Västerås Fight Club prospect Robin "The Pirate" Kohzadi will make his much-anticipated FCR debut against Kampsports Stations Jaafer Mohammed. Kohzadi most recently represented the Swedish national MMA team at the IMMAF European Championships and can get the finish wherever the fight goes. Mohammed is a striker who trains out of the same gym as former UFC fighter Rostem Akman and returns to action after coming up short in an amateur contest this weekend.
Stay tuned for the final fight card, lineup and info ahead of FCR 14.
