Over the past year match ups between Sweden and Finland have truly put Fight Club
Rush in the spotlight. Now another such match up is set for FCR 19 as Waltteri "Da Vinci" Häkkinen (3-0) will make his way to Sweden for the third time to face Ramond "Romani" Johansson (2-1)!
FCR 19 goes down at Strawberry Fields at Quality Hotel Solna in Stockholm on February 24th.
Häkkinen is very experienced on the amateur scene and submitted his countryman Hama Dara in his pro debut in February of this year. Following that he made his Sweden and FCR debut, taking on Allstars prospect Djaba Murtazaliev at FCR 16. Despite a tough start to the fight the tide began turning and Häkkinen won via third round TKO.
Since then Häkkinen went on to welcome top Swedish prospect Martin Corney to the pro leagues at FCR 17. Once again Häkkinen weathered the storm and went on get the submission finish.
Johansson has been a fan favourite since being featured in a Swedish documentary. He lost his pro debut to Murtazaliev at FCR 13, getting a tough start to his pro career.
Following that Johansson was pitted against Dimitris Dimitriadis at FCR 17. Johansson put on a career-defining performance with a vicious onslaught, leading to a first round TKO win, capped off with a fantastic celebration with his son.
In his most recent outing Johansson was pitted against Finland's Joona Hannula at FCR 18. Once again Johansson put on a striking clinic en route to a first round TKO win.
Häkkinen and Johansson both have two straight wins via finish in FCR but only one of them can extend that streak to three. Tune in for what should be an unforgettable fight!
