There are many different ingredients that make up a great fight booking. There will surely be no lack of intensity or power for the latest match up to be announced for Fight Club Rush 18: Safi Husseini (3-2) vs Kevin Osorio (1-1)!
FCR 18 goes down at Västerås Arena on November 25th and will see one of the most maxed out fight cards FCR has put on to date.
Husseini is a 2021 Swedish champion wrestler who competed actively as an amateur in FCR with bouts against the likes of Rohulla Yousofi. He then set a record in his pro debut at FCR 11 as he knocked out Jakob Valegren in just eleven seconds!
Following that sensational performance Husseini would then take two of the toughest possible fights available in Sweden against Amir Malekpour and Jonny Touma. Husseini would be defeated, but his heart was never questioned in either fight.
Since then Husseini has racked up two straight wins, first a close decision win over Hama Dara, then a complete bulldozing of Finnish MMA and wrestling champion Karvann Ahmadi in his most recent outing.
Osorio built up a reputation as an amateur to keep ones eyes on, scoring wins over the likes of Zoran Milic, Henric Pedersen and Mesut Ismash amongst others.
In his pro debut November 2019 Osorio put on a dominant performance against FCR alumn Anton Larsson, winning via second round submission.
Since then Osorio joined Team MACC under the tutelage of Altan Celik and along the likes of some of FCR's biggest successes; Raymond Johansson, Wasi Adeshina and Ebrima Faal.
Osorio made his much-anticipated return to the cage at FCR 17 last month facing undefeated phenom Ali Yazbeck. The fight was equal parts technical and violent in which Osorio would lose a decision despite a valiant effort.
While this bantamweight booking may lack some of the name value from other fights on the card, stylistically this could end up being a barnburner that sets the tone for an unforgettable night.
