Muay Thai star Kevin Mickelsson to make pro debut against under the radar talent Fredrik Ljunglund!

There is no better stage to prove oneself as a rising Nordic MMA prospect than Fight Club Rush. Now two exciting, upcoming fighters are set to do battle as Kevin "Slick Rick" Mickelsson (0-0) will make his much-anticipated pro MMA debut against Fredrik Ljunglund (0-0)!

The lightweight contest takes place at FCR 19 in Stockholm on February 24th.

Mickelsson is a product of the famed Stockholm Muay Thai who has competed in the Swedish National Championships and he has also represented Sweden in European Muay Thai championships.

In terms of MMA Mickelsson couldn't have found a better gym as he trains under Omar Bouiche alongside former ONE Champion Zebaztian Kadestam. As an amateur "Slick Rick" holds a 1-1 MMA record with his win coming by way of submission.

Ljunglund trains alongside two-time FCR fighter and National Team representative Viktor Mangs and is one of the best kept secrets at Kemjoh Hapkido TKD Klubb Ådalen.

Competing since 2016, Ljunglund has fought top competition like Alexander Lindgren and has racked up impressive wins over the years. With victories over the likes of Pasha Tarzi, Zelim Zubairaev, and John Oldenqvist, it's a wonder that he's not a more well known commodity.

Following a hiatus Ljunglund returned last summer, defeating Henric Lönnroth via decision.

FCR 19 is already a massive event with many fantastic fights. Looking to make a name for themselves Mickelsson and Ljunglund will likely stand out and prove why they too are forces to be reckoned with.
