Some match ups are too good to go to waste and such is the case with the bantamweight bout between Kevin Osorio (1-1) and Abdulaziz Husein (0-1).
The match up is set for Fight Club Rush 19, which goes down in Stockholm on February 24th.
Osorio has solid amateur wins over the likes of Zoran Milic, Henric Pedersen and Mesut Ismash amongst others.
In his pro debut November 2019 Osorio put on a dominant performance against FCR alumn Anton Larsson, winning via second round submission.
After that Osorio took time off from MMA before returning, on short notice nonetheless, taking on undefeated phenom Ali Yazbeck. at FCR 17 in September of last year. Osorio gave Yazbeck his toughest fight to date, but ended up losing a decision after three hard-fought rounds.
Husein is a Swedish national wrestling champion with a strong background in greco-roman wrestling and has honed his skilles under the tutelage of UFC veteran Nico Musoke.
In his FCR debut Husein faced Redline standout Ali Al-Jasim in an amateur contest. Despite his opponent starting off strong, Husein unloaded a vicious counter, knocking Al-Jasim out in the first round.
Husein then fought the above mentioned Yazbeck at FCR 14, losing via second round submission.
The FCR bantamweight division is hotter than ever, with a new champion being crowned at FCR 19. The winner of this heated matchup could very well establish himself on track for a future titel shot.
