Fight Club Rush 12 is set for Västerås, Sweden on May seventh and the fight card just received a match up that is more or less a Swedish super fight. Promotion officials recently announced that hard-hitting strikers Alexander Lööf (3-0) and Samuel Bark (3-0) will duke it out at FCR 12.
Västerås Fight Clubs Lööf built up a reputation as a knockout artist even as an amateur. While representing the Swedish national team in the IMMAF World Championships he made both commentators and opponents well aware of his "right hand from hell" as he sent fighters crashing to the canvas.
Lööf made his pro debut against European amateur champion and FCR alumn Amir Malekpour at FCR 9, winning via third round knockout in a close and exciting fight. After that Lööf went three hard-fought rounds with Hamid Sadid, winning a unanimous decision and lining up his second straight win. Earlier this month Lööf took a short notice fight with Finnish-based Russian Rasul Khataev, earning a third straight victory following a second round TKO.
Bark is one of Sweden's most highly credentialed Muay Thai practitioners and holds several championships titles in that discipline. He also has competed in over 70 Muay Thai bouts and has a wealth of striking experience.
In October of last year Bark made his presence known on the Swedish MMA scene, brutally knockout out Khamzat Chimaev's team mate Baysangur Makaev in the first round with a flying knee. Bark followed up with a first round TKO over Ioan Vrânceanu just over a month later. In his most recent outing Bark went the distance with Denis Jurakic - a ten year veteran of the Serbian national Judo team. Bark pulled off a victory via a close-cut and tightly contested decision, keeping his undefeated MMA record intact.
Expect fireworks as these KO kings duke it out to see who is the greatest featherweight striker in Sweden.
