Exciting match ups are exactly what to expect from Fight Club Rush and the latest re-booked fight illustrates that. A featherweight firefight between Raymond Johansson (0-1) and Dimitris Dimitriadis (0-0) was slated for FCR 16, but postponed due to injury. The fight is now slated for FCR 17 in Uppsala on September ninth.
Johansson is a Swedish romani who built a name for himself on the amateur scene with his intense fighting style and spirited performances against top opposition such as Tobias Harila, Tobias Söderberg and Elvin Hoxha. He also holds wins over the likes of Nermin Mehmedagic and Abdulbasid Saidov.
After a a bit of a hiatus Johansson returned to make his pro debut at FCR 13 in Stockholm last year, against none other than Allstars prospect Djaba Murtazaliev. Johansson gained much attention leading up to FCR 13, with Swedish National Television documenting his journey. Despite willingness to to engage Johansson was taken down and submitted in the first round.
STHLM Kampsports Dimitriadis is a team mate of rising stars Nabbe Malki and Erik Wahrolén. In his first FCR fight he defeated Baysangur Makaev via a strong unanimous decision.
Following that performance Dimitriadis faced top prospect Martin Corney, eventually losing via submission. After that Dimitriadis fought three-time Swedish boxing champ Anton Hellström at FCR 10. The high-paced bout was somewhat reckless with several fouls, leading to Dimitriadis eventually winning via disqualification.
The last time both fighters competed in FCR they were left with more to prove. Now they have the perfect time to prove to the world what they're truly capable of.
